We live in an era of democratic recession, whose manifestations appear on multiple levels, leaving us with unreassuring scenarios. Educating for a culture of democracy is more necessary than ever and secondary schools can constitute privileged contexts. The plans for work and reflection are multiple, touching on the dimensions of values, attitudes, skills and knowledge. Against ignorance, disinterest and solipsism, the school can transform itself into a laboratory of dialogical and community practices, capable of creating democracy at the same time in which they put it at the centre of their contents and objectives.
