Racism represents a serious attack on the very concept of universal human rights and prevents certain people from fully enjoying their human rights, justifying itself through skin colour, racial or ethnic affiliation, and social (including caste) or national origin. Education in values is, in this sense, a fundamental ethical pillar for building a more just, equitable, peaceful and solidarity-oriented society.
