Is it possible to deal with political formation as an essential dimension of the human formation, setting to this dimension as well the concept of “becoming who we are”? there are authors that seem to point out this possibility. The issue is principally investigated referring to the ways the political consciousness affects the development of individual personality in the first seasons of existence, intertwining itself with the political and social conditions that mark different historical periods. Certain political youth cultures of the second half of the Seventies decade represent an example of a possible connection between political and human identity, that can, somehow, suggest a route for the political conscientization of today’s youth. These days’ adults have the task of understanding the forms of this conscientization.
