Ernst Cassirer interpreter of Goethe's Bildung

The article aims to examine the Conference held by Cassirer in 1932 on the Goetheian concepts of Bildung and Erziehung. This paper analyzes Cassirer's philosophical architecture in its possible intertwining with Goethe's Bildungsphilophie. Here the dialectic between interiority and exteriority takes shape in the sign of a pädagogisches Ideal. Through Goethe's lesson, Cassirer recovers some of the fundamental traits of a Bildungs- und Erziehungsarbeit aimed at leading human being to understand itself, the world and himself within the world.
