The critical crossing of some camusian works, in particular The Rebel, is aimed at re-examine the limit-notions of ‘absurd’, ‘exile’, ‘revolt’ in their ethical, political and pedagogical bond. Exile is understood as an existential property that doesn’t presuppose any homeland abandonement, and its lived inside history and everyday’s challenges. Revolt is seen as the answer, here and now, to the exile condition produced by the consciousness of the absurd. This involves a formative tension that the Essay outlines in its fundamental emancipatory meaning, finding in the I rebel, therefore I exist the solidaire and not only individual rejection of any servitude, falsehood, fear.
