About the Journal

What does Paideutika mean?

Literally, it is the plural mention of the verbal adjective derived from the Greek paideuo (I instruct, educate, form), from which also comes paideia (education, culture, instruction, knowledge). Therefore, Paideutika gives a name to everything that is related to the formation/education of the human being.

Paideutika promotes a pedagogical culture within the context that derives from the connections between formation and culture, following the tradition of the phenomenological-existential and critical-deconstructive thoughts. It aims at developing critical reflectivity and scientific analysis about forms of cultural life that focus on: philosophical-educational approaches, the contexts of education and formation, pedagogical theories and educational practices.

Paideutika (ISSN 1974-6814 - E-ISSN 2785-566X) is a biannual scientific journal which has been classified as "Rank A" by ANVUR since 2012, for the Academic Fields 11/D1 (Pedagogy and History of Pedagogy) and 11/D2 (Didactics, Special Pedagogy, and Educational Research).

Authorized by the Court of Turin, No. 5850 of 03/26/2005.
